Tu, Shu-wei and Lai, Xiang-ru, students of the Graduate Institute of Taiwan Literature, have received the 8th Yang Mu Literary Awards, Tu for his PhD thesis on “Poetry as a Matter of Negotiation: Discourse Formation and Aesthetic Production between the Two Sides of the Straits Modern Chinese Poetry” and Lai for his MA thesis on “Production and Intervention of Taiwan’s Literary Communities in the New Millennium: An Examination of ‘Novelist-cum-readers.’”
