Since 2005, NTU and Kyoto University have been partner universities of close academic cooperation through Dual Degree Program, Student Exchange Program and Cooperative Faculty Exchange Program. On August 5, 2020, the two universities established a strategic partnership, seeking to raise cooperation to a new level.
